The only circumstances in which your donation will be returned to you by a charity or non-profit organisation is if you or your organisation has violated the terms of the donated amount.

Some charitable organisations may be happy to authorise a refund, but this can vary and there is no guarantee.  If you would like to request a refund, you should speak directly with the charity you have donated to and explain what has happened. 

Community foundations work closely with donors and financial advisors throughout the planning of a fund and offer a wide range of support and information during the process and beyond.  Should a donor have any concerns or wish to withdraw from the partnership, community foundation experts are on-hand to talk through any decisions or discuss new solutions.
