What I do
I joined UKCF in 2020, and now manage the communication and marketing for UKCF across all our channels. I also work with the media to share compelling news and insights from UK Community Foundations, our partners and community foundations. I lead our network's marketing and communications community of practice, which shares learning and development, strengthening our place-based storytelling.
About me
Throughout my professional life I have volunteered in community development projects in places such as South Africa, Botswana, The Gambia and within the UK. I have previously worked in the education sector collaborating with local charities children and young people facing complex challenges. I have a 1:1 degree in Creative and Professional Writing and, before my role at UKCF, I provided freelance communications for a range of clients, including investment firms, mainstream brands, thinks tanks and universities.
Outside of work
In my spare time, I mostly walk across our local South Gloucestershire woodlands with my flat-coat retriever, launch into questionable DIY projects and read adventurous stories.
