After qualifying as a solicitor, I spent a number of years working as a lawyer in the insurance industry and then latterly as a consultant and non-executive director.
I have combined work and family with non-profit sector roles which currently include being a trustee of the Devon Community Foundation, an advisor at Citizens Advice, and an Independent Custody Visitor for the Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner.
In 2025, I completed an MA in Philanthropic Studies, my dissertation focusing on community foundations and their unique selling point of bringing together place-based philanthropic giving and local causes.
