Community-Powered AI

UK Community Foundations (UKCF) is delighted to be partnering with The National Lottery Community Fund and the Centre for the Acceleration of Social Technology (CAST) on a new two-year, £3.1 million initiative, exploring how AI can work for and with communities across the UK.

Lead the Change

Lead the Change supports young people to play a leading role in strengthening relationships, fostering understanding and building belonging in their communities.

Connecting Care

Care leavers know what they need to thrive. Community foundations are working with their care-experienced young people, communities and local authorities. Each area is designing its own local response.

Free to Play UK

Free to Play UK is a new five-year initiative supporting long-term change in how outdoor play is understood, enabled and funded. The initial programme value is over £9.3 million. It will bring together 20 community foundations, with local programmes expected to open in spring 2027.

The Sir George Earle Benevolent Fund supports former Blue Circle and Lafarge UK employees and their families through individual grants and community projects that improve quality of life, independence and work to reduce loneliness for older people across the UK.

Know Your Neighbourhood Fund

The Government launched the Know Your Neighbourhood Fund in 2023, designed to widen participation in volunteering and tackle loneliness in targeted areas across England.
