In 2020, as part of its £100 million Covid-19 Community Aid Package to support the communities hardest hit by the pandemic, Barclays chose to partner with us to distribute £1 million to local charities and community organisations across the UK. The money was distributed across 46 community foundations in our network.

Over the summer of 2020 community foundations were able to support nearly 200 organisations responding to the pandemic thanks to the generosity of Barclays. Our network used its local expertise to ensure that the money was able to reach the places where it was best placed to make the biggest impact.

This timely donation meant that foodbanks, volunteer centres, food delivery services, outreach services for those at risk of isolation and many more have received a much-needed cash boost to help their vital work in communities. It also complimented the wider emergency funding distribution efforts of the network.
